Great music this past weekend. Second Hand Soul and The Boogie Men did great jobs. My knees are still sore form being on the dance floor...especially Saturday night when "The Bad Girls" showed up. Did I say Bad??? I meant BAAAAAAD... Many thanks to the L&L twins as well.... Oh and did I mention Johnnie Walker?? He showed up in force...Along with his friends Jack, Jim. and Jose. They will be back this weekend...Maybe The BAAAAAAD Girls will be too...wooooo hoooo.
This past week was filled with awful visions of the devestation in Haiti and the heart breaking news of the loss of a 34 year old Hero, Officer Craig Story. One tragedy impacted The World immediately..the other impacts my immediate world. I've been to Haiti and seen the dire poverty first hand. The loss there and this horrible Earthquake has done damage that my generation and the next will never see healed. However, in time the nation of Haiti and its people will experience recovery. It will be slow, painful, and no doubt very expensive to the tax payers of World...translate that USA. Of course we pray for that nation. Officer Story is gone forever. A young hero to this community will never return. His loss is a deep cut into the heart of Arlington Texas. This too shall pass. Tragedy..Loss ..Pain...I hate to sound trite or cliche..but they are a part of life. I ask in a loud voice that Our Lord will assuage the pain of his wife Danielle, son John..father Danny and his Mother Michele....and will protect the unborn child his wife had informed him about the day before he was so tragically taken. I also want to personally thank all of the young men and women that protect our streets, businesses, homes, and families. Craig's death serves no purpose other than to remind us just how indebted we are to our law enforcement community.
As long as you are on your knees do not forget our American Service personal in the Middle East...as well as those in all corners of this planet. When you read about this economic downturn and see all the people we have become so close to that are having hard times...don't think about what we do not have ..think about all we take for granted. Our possessions are abundant.
Ride with the Angels Craig.
Peace/Victory
