I have no idea if it was the Nehru Jackets, the Beatle wigs or my bumbling presence on the dance floor...but..that was one of the best Me And My Monkey gigs I have heard...and I have heard a few. Lets say this...I remember the first time I heard the Fab FauX Four play there on Lower Division...the anticipation alone made it great...well last Friday it was almost like hearing them for the first time...it was just that good..they were just that good. The crowd was right. The selection of tunes was righteous. The wigs were out of sight. The jackets were smooth....and the only reason I was on the dance floor was because my dance partner was neat...bitchin...cool...right on... boss...and anything else 60's I can think of that says..1951 babies rule!!....lol. I had a great time...my back and knees are still aching. But daddio I crossed that room and my heart absolutely went boom..lol. Me And My Monkey will be back this spring... that should be plenty of recovery time.
(Speaking of this Spring...I am certain we will survive but...there is a Tornado headed right at us....4/16/2010).
I have no idea how Saturday went...my apologies to Bob Christopher..I was out of town on some business. And..since no one missed me enough to call and give me a report..or to even wonder where the hell I was...nothing ..zippo...Well Gina at least acted like she missed me but that is in her contract. Other than that ...nada...bupkiss....zilch...nary a whimper....sigh...fine. I hope the night was ok....
This week...not that it matters...(sulk)...but I will be in the house both evenings...out resident ghost Tom will have some spirit world company....Jimi will be in the house....as in Master Hendrix. Dolly Dagger is a new band to Stumpy's...they will be on stage Friday night...they will bring Jimi Hendrix to life with a very special Tribute. This ought to be great!!! DD had to cancel a couple of months ago do to the FLU...but all is well now and Dolly Dagger is ready to take up a spot All Along the Watch Tower....yeah Friday is going to be a very special night....NO COVER!!!
Saturday...New Years Eve lives again...Coldrake is baaaaaaack. If you come early you can come watch one of the best equipped bands around set up...it is an engineering marvel..Stephan will be there to supervise. Also early arrival will assure your ability to avoid the cover that starts at Nine PM...it is a business and this is quality entertainment Stumpians...its $3.00...or $5.00 per couple... Not that bad... Coldrake is worth it.

People are finding their way to Stumpy's....USA Olympic Hockey is rocking along...God's in His Heaven...SPRING TRAINING HAS STARTED!!! yep...All's right with the World....yeah yeah yeah..twist and friggin shout!! I have the best friends on Earth..I live a charmed life!! (Last Friday was in the top five best times I have had ever at Stumpy's...with my clothes on.)
