I am officially getting old and forgetful....When I left town Sunday I forgot some paper work I should have brought back with me..I forgot my shaving kit...this morning I forgot my lunch...and last night when I remembered where I lived...as I started to go over in my mind all that I had forgotten....I realized I had forgotten to compose and send out the update....doooiiiiingggg!!! Alrighty then...hey I hate to admit this but last week when I got into town I noticed that my boots did not match..that's a bad one...and people wonder why I am single...HA!!!. However..I am thinking that maybe that is the key...perhaps single at this advanced age is not the best way to roll. Maybe...just maybe...a partner...a wife...a GF...seeing eye dog...something, or someone to give me just the right amount of assistance to make it from point A to point B. It's a thought..applications will be taken @Stumpy's...five barstools down from the left. References not required...Longing Looks filled with desire appreciated.
OK....hey that was a nice weekend Stumpians..from what I remember. Let's start with Ball and Chain...Fridays entertainment...not bad....not bad at all. They were not as smooth as they will be after a few more gigs but they have a world of talent. From what I understand this was their first gig in a while. It showed at times...but...the next time they are at Stumpy's...and there will be a next time...they will be on their way to becoming one of our regulars...great gig...fun band....I liked them...oh yeah nice crowd of followers(that is the most important part..) Now Saturday .....
Jason Elmore and Hoo Doo Witch... Qamazing...it's my word to describe terrific events that are beyond all normal accolades. Qamazing!!!(I have to give SJ some credit for that word)...That really was a heck of good night...Great Party..thanks Weezy, Julie B, Diane, Nay Nay, and every one else that anything to do with that. Some nights you get it right...I got it right when I called Jason to play for us that night. At least I did not forget to do that... Jason will be back with us on May the 8th to host his CD Release Party. We need to all be there to thank him for choosing our home to release what I am certain is going to be a monster CD. Hey in an indication of just how huge that night was...The BAD GIRLS were the all night long!!! Woooo Hooooo!!!!!!
Psssssst..I am going to be out of town this weekend..I mean as in away from Stumpy's. I will be there for a while Friday but Saturday....ziiiip..I am gone...I have bizzzz to take care of. (bizz of the monkey variety.)
However....Gina will beholding court on my behalf. She will be in charge of all irrational behavior and any or all incomprehensible mumbo jumbo. Its a good thing ....Friday night it is her and her insignificant other's(Steve/Bob) band...this is their guy..or is it non guy...(with those two I can never tell...PS..Steve/Bob is my hero/bob...he gets away with everything and still gets the girl in the end...well maybe not the end...yada yada yada)...back to the band....Scott Copeland is in the house....He is already been nominated for a Stumpee in the Best new Band category. Saturday...our PSEUDO HOUSE BAND...Just N Tyme...these guys are like Miller Draft and a Shot...always smooth with a kick. NO COVERS EITHER NIGHT!!!

Apparently I need to make a small point. Stumpy's is our home. I want everyone to understand that the one thing on this planet I love more than anything else is have a chance to play the host and do everything I can to see to it there are a lot of smiles filling the house...but just like any home, Stumpy's is a business. We have to do certain things to assure that we will be there for a long time to come....and that is all I am going to say on that subject.
Please say a prayer every time you look around and see all the absence of suicide bombers, IED's, and unshaven, bad breathed, poor hair-cutted terrorists intent on killing you. Say that prayer for the uniformed men and women in the middle east protecting YOUR LIBERTIES!!!
